Museum of the Moon Autism Friendly/Quiet hour

21 February 2019 Museum of the Moon Autism Friendly/Quiet hour

Thursday 21 February
During Quiet Hour, the gallery will be closed to the public so that people on the Autistic Spectrum (and children who need a quieter environment to enjoy the museum) and their families can explore the Moon exhibition in their own way, free from hustle and bustle.

As well as the exhibition, we have an autism-friendly planetarium show which will take you on a journey through space. We’ll project the entire night sky onto the inside of the planetarium dome and look at the beautiful moon, stars and constellations above us.

If you want to see Luke Jerram’s 23ft moon close-up, please arrive at 9:45am. The 2nd floor balcony area will be nice and quiet and you can explore at your leisure

Time? 10 – 11pm  Ages? For children and young people with autism (and children who need a quieter environment to enjoy the museum) and their families.

Cost? Free, booking essential. Please book at the museum shop on 01772 905414.
