Mrs Christy Townson

Mrs Christy Townson

Hello and welcome to our class page 🙂

The Summer Term is finally here! We are looking forward to the warmer weather so we can get outside into the Mud Kitchen, for outdoor learning and to experiment with capacity! We are learning about 'water' and the water-cycle through the following Story Massages and Sensory Stories: 'The Rainbow Fish' by Marcus Pfister; 'Little Raindrop' by Gina Maldonado; 'The Snail and the Whale' by Julia Donaldson. We will also be learning about and experimenting with water through many fun STEAM activities...We love playful learning and sensory fun in Class 6!

KEEP CHECKING BACK FOR PHOTOS OF OUR LEARNING EACH WEEK!

We are continuing to build number sense through practical activities, play and nature activities. We will continue to improve our attention through our Attention Autism 'bucket' sessions. We are learning how to co-regulate and self-regulate using the Zones of Regulation and building our communication in Intensive Interactions and Communication sessions.

We will be swimming on a Monday afternoon during the whole of the Summer Term.

Thankfully, we have started to have some lovely sunny days in Longridge! 🌞
Now the weather is warming up, please don't forget to send your child in with a labelled hat and sun cream, thank you.

If you would like to get in touch or have any questions, please don't hesitate to ring me, email me or send me a message in your child's chat book.

Thank you for your ongoing support,

Christy and the Class 6 Team (Marie, Maria and Louise)
