Class 6’s topic for this half term is ‘Hit the Road’. In class we are looking at different types of transport and different journey’s we might make. The children will be working on constructing sentences to say what they see, hear, smell, taste and feel whilst at the same time exploring using their senses.  We will be also creating some artwork based on the topic using painting and collage.

We will be visiting a park and McDonalds, then using those experiences to discuss ‘journeys’ back in class. Class 6 are continuing with swimming this half term and are all making great progress in the pool.

Our Story for this half term is all about a train journey to the sea, again using our senses to get a real feel for the journey and constructing sentences including attributes.

In PSHE our topic is ‘Keeping well’ and ‘Healthy Eating’. We will be looking at what keeping well means in a practical way.

Class 6 will be looking at opposites in Maths such as ‘longer’ or ‘shorter’ and ‘hot’ or ‘cold’.
