Class 3 2022 - 2023
Mrs Joanne McComb
Welcome back and I hope you all had a peaceful Christmas and New Year. The children in Class 3 are going to be very busy bees this term; having fun and learning lots. Our topic this term is ‘Toys and dinosaur’, we will be reading a story called If I had a dinosaur by Gabby Dawnay and then That’s Not My Teddy by Fiona Watt, practicing our mark making/writing, phonics and communication.
We will be exploring heavy and light and number in maths, attending the tuck shop to practice our exchanging and counting skills. Finding out all about recycling and using junk to build our very own dinosaur sculptures in art. In RE we will be finding out about learning about and from Bodhi and looking at St Valentine’s day, who will be our secret admirer? Every day we will continue to work on our individual targets and enjoy lots of fun and exciting ways to learn.
Please make sure the children have a PE kit in school for our Friday sessions, a spare set of clothes and waterproof coat/wellies so we are always prepared for whatever the weather, snacks and/or lunch, make sure you have ordered a school lunch if appropriate, a water bottle or drink every day and remember to check emails for updates and messages. Please let us know if there are any issues or useful information that will help us to care for your child.
All the staff in class 3 are happy to answer any questions or queries you may have and will support you as best we can. Thank you!
Jo and the class 3 team.
