Class 12 2023 - 2024

 

Class 12 are enjoying trips into the community. This academic year we have so far visited Burnley police station, a church, the theatre in Blackpool to watch a pantomime, gone walking in two different country parks and gone cycling at Moor park for several weeks. 

Some of the children go food shopping weekly then cook the ingredients for their lunch to develop their independence skills. The KS5 children take turns doing work experience as part of their preparation for adulthood.

 

In Maths we are working towards Functional Skills and currently concentrating on Geometry. Our English is also based on Functional Skills, we are currently reading The Twits.  This term we are doing an AQA unit for habitats in Science and taking part in dancing for PE. Thanks for reading 🙂
