Class 10 2023 - 2024

Spring term 

 

This term we are working really hard on completing our ASDAN modules: world of work, expressive arts and design, communication and sport and leisure. We are visiting may different places in the community to help us achieve our evidence for these modules such as trampolining and visiting Train stations , on a Thursday morning we have an employability session with Bethany from DWP who is helping us learn more about different careers and what we may like to do in the future.

In maths we are learning about time in both digital and analogue format.

In English we are reading Charlie and the Chocolate factory, and acquiring new skills in relation to grammar and comprehension which will help us complete our future functional skills exams.

In PSHE we are finding out more about different feelings and thinking of ways we can perhaps manage our emotions positively.

In Geography we are learning the difference between weather and climate, we are creating our own class 10 weather station so we can measure the weather.

Functional skills - we are continuing to practice for our speaking and listening part 2 exams and are hoping to complete them soon.
