“Welcome to our page!”
Class 9 have had a fun summer term so far and are looking forwards to weeks running up to the summer holidays! We’ve enjoyed plenty of school events such as showing off our best move at the School Council Danceathon, lots of fun Easter activities and regular messy play sessions. Our trip to the SPACE Centre was a great success, we were all very excited and had lots of sensory fun. We also have a few trips planned in the next half term to look forwards to, including an end of term trip to see Toy Story 4 at the cinema! Please look out for letters in your child’s chat book.
We’ve got lots of interesting topics to learn about in this final half term. In English we will be learning about the story of Anne Frank. In Maths we will be learning all about statistics through making graphs and tables relating to our favourite things, such as movies, sweets and play activities. In Modern Foreign Languages we’re currently learning Spanish, which includes colours and food, and we’re even trying different yummy foods from the Spanish culture! We’ve been learning to play songs such as ‘we will rock you’ and ‘we are the champions’ through beats and instruments and have our own little Class 9 rock band!
We are continuing with weekly swimming lessons again this half term, and these are on a Tuesday morning. Please continue to send in your child’s swimming kit in a labelled bag.
This half term we have our weekly trip to Ribchester Park and Potters Barn Café on a Thursday afternoon. Please ensure that you child has sun cream we can apply, suitable clothing and a water bottle in case of hot weather.
Please continue to read your child’s chat book daily as we update it with important information about your child’s progress. Please remember to let us know if there is anything that may impact upon your child’s day at school, either through the chat book or by giving us a call.
Thank you for your continued support,
